Hanging New Light Fixtures
One of our most popular service calls is to come hang a new light fixture. Some people think this is a no big deal and often tackle hanging new lights on their own. However, we often find the light fixture is either not installed correctly, the splice connections to the house wiring is incorrect or loose, or the light fixture is too heavy for the outlet box it is supported from. Many new light fixtures are very elaborate and grand, this tends to make them very heavy. It is crucial to make sure the outlet box we are installing the new light on is rated to hold the weight of the new light.
